Your description of your husband reminds me of mine. My husband was the man, who when I asked what he was thinking, always had something interesting going on in his head.
The men I had dated, when asked all responded "nothing." I realized after a while that really; they were being completely honest. There was NOTHING in their heads right then.
Ha ha, I dated a guy in college who was pre-med (right on course), smart & observant but when we corresponded over the summer, I’d write these long thoughtful letters and he’d send brief replies listing what he was doing. Maybe some people are just action-oriented.
My husband was a doctor. I met him when he came west to this little rural town and started a clinic there. He was a fighter pilot for the IL NG during med school and residency. He was that Maslow's Hierarchy type of guy, and he could have gone anywhere with medicine or flying, but he chose to be of service. So, we didn't have a lot of money, but I sure didn't care.
But to get back to your then beau, I'm like, wow. Back then, when I was very insecure I would have been wondering wondering... When you saw each other in person, was he responsive in a way that you could, well, tell he heard you? Yeah, some people are kinda bullet points about things!
Wow, your husband is a rare and amazing person! As for my former beau, he was my first crush first boyfriend so it was all a new experience. I think I was just impressed with him. Both his parents were doctors who raised their kids to only speak English and excell. I was very shy and pretty sheltered, graduated from an all-girls high school so very proper. We enjoyed each others’ company but frankly we weren’t a suitable match. When you’re young everything is wonderful.
Hi Kitty. How are you doing? We've been very busy settling in down here. And its been compounded by the need to relocated Julies brother from Florida. Now that that is done, things are getting a little more back to normal. I have seen your comic a lot in Julies browser. They are lots of fun. Are you getting good feedback on them? keep going! I just discoverd thimble theater last week and am rediscovering Popeye. I found out my tv service includes dvr recording unlimited. So I switched on the "Record Popeye" button and now i have 38 episodes to watch! I also did some research on Segar and discovered he did cartoon correspondence school from a guy in Cleveland. Thats my home town! I thing we're talking about 1902, or so. A half century before i got there. Anyway, just stopped by to say Hi. Say hello to Nina and Andrew for me... = Alan
Thank you! Hope these remain interesting & fun for you. I love my little people : ) It’s my version of Thimble Theatre (for anyone who read E.C. Segar’s Popeye).

Scary.

To be fair, your husband eventually became a "doctor" (PhD), did he not?
Ha ha ha ha, yes, that’s correct. Ironic, no?

When is the next comic? More please.

Part of the cartoon is cut off
Hint: If you're looking at the comic on a smartphone, hold phone horizontally for optimal viewing orientation.
I don't see that on my end. Are you viewing on a phone?
It’s cut-off in the introductory page. It’s just a glimpse not the real post. I think it depends where you land on the site.
Just click on the "cut off" image and it will bring up the full post.
